Hike the highest peak in mainland Spain. Sierra Nevada is home to the highest peak in mainland Spain, Mulhacen (3479 masl.) Hiking there can involve two days of demanding trekking, sleeping in a refuge or in a tent, or it can be an easy one-day hike. Climbing the peak is only possible in summer due to the snow in the winter.. Indeed, Andalucia is where the Sierra Nevada of Spain is located.
